The producers of these Little Gems programmes are Eryl Holt and Marion Symes.
They are both Yoga Biomedical Trust yoga therapists and studied yoga for pregnancy
under Françoise Barbira Freedman who is one of the world's leading experts in this field.
Marion (right): 'I practised as a midwife for 12 years, but now my main focus is teaching
yoga especially to pregnant and postnatal women. I also run Active Birth preparation
courses at my local maternity unit.
I feel that the knowledge and experience gained through my midwifery practice and my own personal experience of pregnancy and birth enhance my pregnancy and postnatal teaching.
Above all, I find it a real joy and privilege to work with pregnant and postnatal women at this special, often challenging, time in their lives-and I just love the babies!
Eryl (left): 'I left drama school in the early 80's and have worked mainly in television, notably in all episodes of the Fast Show – writing two characters that led to devising my one woman show for the Edinburgh Festival and then three afternoon plays for Radio 4. I find teaching Mums and Babies hugely exciting and the perfect antidote to my work as an actress and writer. I am a passionate advocate of women taking time out to experience and relish this important part of their lives, and feel proud to be able to offer them the tools to make it as profound and rewarding as possible.
